Over the past two years, the EMA ( Environmental Management Authority) has participated in the ENO’s global tree planting initiative. We were able to reach out to diverse communities, involving children and youth in tree planting to increase appreciation of the value of trees. We are proud to have been able to plant 1805 trees throughout the two islands of Trinidad and Tobago. In 2016, the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) of Trinidad and Tobago accepter the invitation to participate 100 million trees by 2017 campaign. Same year , the EM planted 370 trees at schools through its Enviro Club Progrmme, thus empowering children and youth through tree planting. In 2017, the exercise continued with 1435 trees being planted, bringin the EMA's total contribution to 1805.
